Our Facility Betterment Services include: dementia care training programs, customer service training programs, and management consulting initiatives. These consulting programs go beyond individual client services to focus on developing staff performance, organization effectiveness, and higher quality care throughout the facility.

Dementia Care Training

Aging Matters offers a training program in the advanced principles and methods of person-centered dementia care. Our program (based on a model originally developed with the Alzheimer’s Association) will improve both the ability and confidence of caregiving staff to deal with residents with dementia therapeutically. It does so mainly by helping staff empathize more fully with the lived experience of residents with dementia.

Customer Service Training

Aging Matters can help your facility improve its customer service and build a sustainable culture of service excellence. This will enhance your residents’ quality of life, and just as importantly, it will boost the competitive advantage of your facility. With the increasing prominence of online reviews (as well as government quality data), along with the increasing demands of residents as the baby-boom generation arrives, service excellence will become increasingly vital for facilities.

Management Consulting

Aging Matters offers a variety of consulting services that are relevant for senior care facilities and senior living residences, and especially for those which aspire to be or become among the best in class. Some of our key management consulting services are: Coaching for Senior Leaders, Developing Middle Managers, Training Line-Staff Supervisors, Building a Culture of Teamwork, and Organizational Problem-Solving. Payment for Facility Services

The training programs and consulting services described above are more extensive initiatives that go well beyond the occasional inservice training workshops that we offer on a pro bono basis. These specialized training programs and customized consulting services are billed via contracts that are negotiated with facilities. They can deliver very substantial improvements, especially for quality of care at your facility, and they thereby also deliver a strong return on investment.  For many organizations, their workplace culture is at the essence of their brand - and a reputation for quality care and service excellence may be especially important for senior care facilities. The facility services offered by Aging Matters are designed to enhance your service quality, your brand identity, and thereby your bottom-line financial results.
